Can you make all fish glow?

Just read that other thread about glofish. My bio teacher briefly mentioned something about some fluorescent gene that makes them glow, so could it be done to all fish? :confused:
 
not sure dude, ask your teacher some more questions about it. And then do some research on what she says.
 
that would be amazing think about it glowing piranhas seeing them eat in the night with no lights find out please lol

if you research it, glofish were originally going to be used for tracking waterflow in waterways or something similar..... the idea was scratched but a byproduct was that the genetically altered/engineered "glow" the fish have became popular with people that know nothing about fish but think the glow is cool. this has led to the least natural species to be put in a fish tank
 
As long as you could splice in a dominant gene the would have a glowing phenotype you could make any creature glow.
