yo mammas house
can this be done? has anyone tried it? i have a softshell turtle that needs more space to swim and before i do something crazy i wanna know if i can put him in with my Ps in a 55gal. i have 3 reds btw.

I wouldn't chance it.

i bought a red ear slider the other day, and one of my rb's took his tail off so id say no to the soft shell

yea its a definate no from me, it won't survive. unless its bigger than the P and then its just a turtle eating fish. either way i dont think this will work at all

A friend of mine had some small P's. feed them but they still took a leg or two or tail off of the small turtle about 3x there size or less.

Piranhas + any living animal = death.

There are no ways around it. Piranhas are to be kept alone and if you can't stand having just one fish in a tank, then don't get piranhas (of course the Pygos can be kept in a school of other Pygos).

I would think that in the event that the turtle is way too big for the p's someone is going to ether be eaten or have some limbs bit off. I would go against this.
