Bifa and fenestratus can be down right mean, synspilums are pretty mellow. In my own community i seemed to always have an agression problem with the fenestratus(male),had to separate from the pack,then i had to put a divider to separate him from the female(keeps trying to kill her).So i think you have a better chance with the synspilum.

I have quite a few in my 240. The key is to treat them like African cichlids, get one or a whole bunch. Also try to get all males or all females as they will cross breed and when they do all hell with break loose. Go with heterospilus, pearsi, etc as these are not quite as aggressive as blackbelts, zontas, etc.
