Have you ever thought of reporting them, or taking some home?

Cruel. So many people keep fish in tanks that are just too small. Would you like to be kept in a 4ft by 5ft by 5ft room for the rest of your life? Those people should be shot. My motto is the tank is big enough when the fish don't know they are in a tank. Poor things trapped in a glass box.

Who would I report it to? PETA? I have no idea. As for taking them home I have no room for fish that size, that would not be an option.

theres atleast 3 chinese restaurant here in my town with a small aquarium full of kois

my brother says they cook them for special customers who ask for them. ALso, i always see different kois when i come over.

so just maybe...

thats sad those fish are in those conditions. hopefully the owners are doing a lot of water changes. while i disagree that the owners "should be shot", i do think they need more education in fish keeping. maybe printing out some info for them and introducing them to the real demands and limitations of their setup could help. if they ignore your concerns, it would then be more appropriate to explain to them that any respected fish keeper would look down on their business and their handling of animals.

we can all easily blame people for their setups, but until you know more about the individuals and how much education they've had in the matter- its simply a waste of time to start judging. first find out if they're willing to learn and change- rather than bashing misinformed aquaria enthusiasts.

Fish looks fat and healthy! What's all the fuss about?

:bs: When you put a fish in a tank, doesn't matter big or small, it's trapped in a glass box! There's no such tank is big enough for a fish doesn't know it's in a tank! :bs: BTW, there's no such room 4ft x 5ft x 5ft. That room is not up to code!:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
