yeah thats why i thought the male looked like he might be either going into or coming out of breeding dress since he was soo dark and barely had any stripes showing, but now that i look closer i think he is just a darker sev
the tank the male is in has black substrate and the tank the female is in has light brown substrate so that might be why they are colored so differently now but normally they are both colored like him.
