Wait for phase 2 of the build once water and fish all in and it needs to be made to look pretty



I've worked with water cooled electronic equipment before so kinda get used to what expect (High voltage + water = i've been shocked a lot!) Me and my dad are in similar fields of work, mrs satan thinks we're proper cowboys when we start working on something around the house and wants nothing to do with it! Probably best, nearly dropped the dish washer on my head a couple of weeks ago.......

When i think about it, i really have done some dangerous stuff in my time!

thats coz ur both crazy but im not happy about wires being near pond if they leak and it blows hmmmm

Your confidence overwhelms me!

That thing's built really rather strongly and I'm confident that when it does leak, it'll just be minor seeping/trickling, so probably won't be spectacular enough for the £250............Now i've said that it's gonna explode isn't it?...arse.

That's alright, we fixed the sink when we messed that up didn't we? Plus we're trained in electrics, not plumbing!(for those that want to know what happened with the sink, wait until i decorate the pond.)

Well the day started off ok....

Tidied wiring, start filling some more, put the slabs in place.

Watch it rise slowly up the window. Then up a little bit more. Then saw the puddle forming on the floor in the corner. It's now pumping out again.

Leak looks like it's coming from the glass in the frame that took off a bit of my finger and i fitted in a hurry/not as well as i did the other 2. Will probably need to take the glass out, take up the old silicone and dried blood (that may be what's caused the leak) and do a better job on it when i get hold of more silicone. Which will be next week now. Floor needs to dry for a while, that's the corner above the drain so shouldn't take long. The leak itself was flowing quite nicely so a gap in the silicone seems a good suspect. Still, could be worse hey
