(September!)Right, with my nice little hangover i was nursing this morning i tried filling it up yet again. Still leaks in exactly the same place in exactly the same way. This Annoys me. So, take out water, formulate a plan using a method someone mentioned on here a while ago about putting another frame over the existing frame and fillling that with silicone. that should get it....... While it's still emptying i sit and think about it and start to wonder if it isn't coming through the space between the glass and frame at all but if it's actually coming between the liner and frame as none of the current sealing attempts seem to have changed it at all. Find and zoom in on the picture i took of it leaking and yes it looks like it's actually between the liner and the frame. Proper fail for me! In work tonight and busy tomorrow, will do something on Sunday if i'm back in time.
Piling silicone on it is NOT going to fix the problem. You need a clean, moisture-free surface to start from.
I'd drain the tank down below the glass. Remove the glass where it's leaking. Clean the mounting surface. Clean the silicone off the glass.
Do yourself a favor and get emery cloth or a grinding stone and smooth the sharp edges of the glass. You won't cut yourself again that way. Makes me cringe every time I think about it.
Once you're done prepping the glass and surface, apply silicone to the face of the glass where it will meet the mounting surface. Place the bottom of the glass in first then tilt it up into place. Smooth the bead around the front. You can clean off any excess with a razor blade once it cures.
Run a bead around the back edge of the glass then smooth it. Use one continuous stroke to smooth it out. Stop and start again if you need to, but don't go over it again.

spoken with experience and true wisdom No progress recently, not got the right sealant in but have intentions of finding some tomorrow now i've been paid. Trying to patch the wrong bit hasn't helped this last few attempts either. Oh well, it'll get there eventually. Just gonna worry about getting it filled for now and leave temporary lid on as it is so i can get on with decorating the rest of the house (got a wall to take out to fit the 6x2x2 in, that'll be fun
(yes it's been checked by and recieved guidance from a builder friend on how to do it and not have the house fall down around me.))

I feel like coming down and fixing this leak for u, this has to be every ones worst nightmare when doing a huge diy build like this. If u cant fix the leak then i would leave that wall to the pro's matey
