I think i did work out the totals earlier in the thread, just need to add £40 for more black pond liner sealant (one tube still unused) and the current 6 lengths of 89mm x 38mm wood and crazy over sized tub of ronseal (which will be used elsewhere in the garden) was another £40. Probably still a lot cheaper than a new 6x2x2 would have been
I can imagine a tank made out of 15mm glass being not cheap......Then there's the costs of getting it moved into place

TBH, that's less than i though you were going to say. Was expecting 5k ish. Much cheaper to build with wood still obviously, but if the front viewing window is the only one visible to view fish then would it be worth having the whole thing built from glass anyway? Would make more sense just to have the front clear if it's financially easier to have the rest made from something not clear. (Fibre glass would give a good finish and comes in your choice of colours

I can give you something good, sorry it wouldn't be the pay rising though.
Shouldn't worry about it, gotta get it all painted and dried before it gets to that stage and then i don't think it'll be easy lifting the filter box out and on top anyway huni. Lots to do when i get in there again

Sorry to keep derailling but your full of great info,i agree with you on the viewing window but dont fancy going the wood route,i could make a frame out of metal but could i get a fibreglass company to build the inside for me and somehow put the front glass in.
