I've been reading this great build since the start and it seems such a shame to stop, couldn't you just drain it cover the windows over with some pond liner and still use it until you start a new build. Will still be just as great with no viewing windows and you could keep all your fish

Yeah that would work or just cover the one that is leaking or is there more than one leak,i cant remember.

makes sense to me, or is it too late and you've started taking it apart? :(

Not started the rip down yet, it's just sitting half empty so there's less of a leak hazard. That's not such a bad idea really, can't remove the windows without destroying it so them and the frames would have to stay but if i drain right down and seal liner all the way round and over each one then the seal between the glass and frame is redundant and the expansion/contraction heat/seal issue wouldn't matter........there's potential there and it looks less hassel than getting the paddling pool back in.........will need to scrounge some liner from somewhere........nice one joehanney, already got the liner sealant so don't know why i didn't think of that.

There's 2 for now, middle window hasn't given in to the problem yet.

Hi mate i was talking about all the asian aros in the video on the huuuuuuuuge ray tank.

Steve

It would be a shame to rip it apart before you try the above i say.

Steve

Satan mate, i have just joined your club. done a test fill on the filter, got it to about a foot or so deep, approx. a third of its depth, then it sprung a small but constant lerak along the outside edge/corner on the right hand side :WHOA: :( :WHOA: :( :WHOA: my worst nightmare has come true. draining it now, doesn't give me much confidence for the main tank now. maybe i will buy another couple litres of the epoxy and give it two more coats.
