hamato_yoshii,if they dont try a few times then they would never know if they could win,ya know?
they usually never go more then 3 fights that ive seen.
but i see your point and agree

just wish he'd become a mute
franklin i have never liked. he is a ufc made poster boy. overhyped and i always questioned his heart.
you 4 real?lol
is that opinion just after the silva fights?lol
up till silva he was an awesome fighter.
he just met his match like everyone else.
and silva will be next to meet his match
but who i cant say lol
:D

Yeah, his overall record is pretty good, I just am very unimpressed by his fights, and thats probably why I'm so intense on this issue, but the UFC does have a history of re-treading guys, and as a fan, I'm sick of it. I wanna see good fights, not good characters. And I guess I'm just kinda predicting thats what Rich is. My main issue is this is the #2 fight on this card. It just is not that big of a fight. It's like the battle for the number 5 contender, I have no issue with the fight itself (and I will certainly be watching) just where it's at.

no that was my opinion when silva was in pride. he was an "awesome" fighter that didnt fight top tier fighters. other than the crow name one? and he was barely top ten. when linland was up for the title he was released from the ufc cause he wore a non ufc sponsor t-shirt to the weight-ins. frankin was protected by dana white and his list of opponents shows that. in 25 fights he has fought 4 top tier fighters. twice being to anderson and losing badly. anyone one can look like an awesome fighter when they dont fight top guys.

I'm not a fan of either, although I respect Tito because I think that he is a very good fighter, he just couldn't beat the best. I don't really know how good Rich Franklin is, but I know he isn't as good as Anderson Sylva, and thats all I need to know. I know that division is weak but give me somebody else, I mean even if he wins, then he'll fight who? Dan Henderson? Come on, thats offensive, Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson, doesn't even sound right, Dan would dominate him.

i agree. dan would dominate him. as would most of the top ten fighters at that weight class. too bad most are not even with the ufc anymore. when fighters like lidell, bj, randy are interviewed they always talk how they want to fight the best fighters out there. especially when they were defending their belts. franklin not at all. he just taked about fighting who the ufc wants him to fight.

as for that i have no clue myself. i mean he can't continue beatin everyone like this forever. he is just so dominating. i'm so curious as to who will show anderson is actually a human. i thought henderson would be the guy but....nope! i'd like to see kang, or marquardt.

The best would be after GSP beats Serra, he gains a little and takes on Sylva for both belts!

that would be an interesting fight. if i had to guess i think anderson would roll through him as well. bj showed what a good striker can do to GSP.....which is a rematch i wanna see

gonna be a SWEET night.

Gotta pull for Serra, although I think GSP will win. He is the better fighter.

and go Franklin.

I'd really like to see GSP fight Anderson Sylva. No one in Sylva's weight class has got a prayer to beat him anytime soon. GSP moving up would be a SWEET FIGHT.

BTW.... tito is little girl.

Yeah if I had to bet I would also take Sylva, but GSP has one thing going for him that might work, and if you notice a lot of the great fighters in mma have, and thats kicks. I know it sounds simple, but nobody utilizes the kicks anymore. A few fighters do, and those fighters are normally successful, the newer age of fighters don't realize the effect that kicks have on your opponent, and I'm not just talking about trying to kick somebody's head off, I mean real, wear your opponents foundation down kicks. GSP does it, Sylva does it, Chuck Liddel does it (or did it), there is a pattern here....

^^i agree. leg kicks just drain your opponent.. Bas Rutten won his last fight with a tko of leg kicks. guy had a solid jaw so he chopped him down like a tree. one kick that is never utilized like it should be is a front kick. barely ever see it. gsp pulls off kicks that most can't and won't try. he cleanly lands axe kicks and spinning back kicks.
