I just had a container last 2 months. It was at the back and I forgot it was in there. They were still fat and squirming all over the place when I opened the container.

earthworms breed easily in compost piles. careful not to just add coffee grounds and scrap food to soil or you will end up with an actual pile of hot garbage!!!
