Elizabeth, had to have a colonscopy a few years ago (early) because colon cancer runs in my family. It wasn't that bad actually, they gave me a semi sedative and I don't remember anything of the procedure itself. Thank goodness!

In Canada we have medical marijuana similar to California, here you can get licenses for a huge array of issues, you can also get a license to grow your own marijuana for personal use. I've always believed in its medical use, especially when it comes to digestion related illness and disease.

I'm not 100% as far as specifically which one he had. By the time they caught it the cancer was already in his liver, stomach, intestines, and pancreas. Since he and Mom decided against an autopsy the most I will ever know for certain was the cancer was a metastasized adenocarcinoma of unknown origins.

I have to agree, Liz. I got scoped not too long ago to look at my stomach and once they injected the meds into my IV line I was gone. No memory until I was being asked if I wanted juice about an hour later. And the only side effects were a scratchy throat and a major buzz.

You'll be "out"....you won't feel a thing. The prep before the colonoscopy can be pretty brutal though. Don't plan on going anywhere the night before--stay close to a bathroom, or you'll be sorry. :(
