Elizabeth, had to have a colonscopy a few years ago (early) because colon cancer runs in my family. It wasn't that bad actually, they gave me a semi sedative and I don't remember anything of the procedure itself. Thank goodness!

yes thats good..and really good that you now have peace of mind that they did not find anything..

I'm not 100% as far as specifically which one he had. By the time they caught it the cancer was already in his liver, stomach, intestines, and pancreas. Since he and Mom decided against an autopsy the most I will ever know for certain was the cancer was a metastasized adenocarcinoma of unknown origins.

You'll be "out"....you won't feel a thing. The prep before the colonoscopy can be pretty brutal though. Don't plan on going anywhere the night before--stay close to a bathroom, or you'll be sorry.
