Candiru as pet?

I saw them available too... when i inquired they said to get big comets and let them slowly kill them.... Great pet! LOL BTW the guy who imported them said one of his clients spawned them in a tank.

I think people give them whole fish from the market to feed on the blood ?

Vandellia need live prey items. They can not feed on non-living prey as they use the preys own heart to pump blood into their stomachs. they are incapable of feeding in any other manner.

So I just learned a lesson. That lesson was to not just randomly look up fish names in google images that I have no idea what they are.

In three words... You would not... I keep them for research purposes.. not as pets.. and they are not easy animals to keep. They are damn expensive animals to keep around.

Oh ok, I wasn't trying to be offensive just thought it'd be weird to have a guest walk into your house and see parasitic catfish eating a dead animal, lol
