Does anyone know anything about the availability, care, and legality of the dreaded Candiru Catfish? I know that they have several very unique needs, but it would be awesome to have a true monster fish such as this...any info is greatly appreciated...thanks

Easy to keep, hard to find, they are prohibited in most states so nobody seems to import them, I had some in 1976-1978 that I got from an army epidemiologist and gcet in a 1 gallon jar, they ate tubifex worms and raw chicken liver, I gave them to a parisitologist at Ft, Sam Houston when I was transferred overseas.

Are ytou talking about the same fish that would love the chance to swim in your urin tract and eat the flesh surrounding it?! Or am I completely off kilter here?

nope, your on track. I think it would be cool to keep the little suckers

theres different species of them.. there are some that get pretty niffty size and the others just stay small
