Canister filter for UV

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's looks perfect alex, but does anyone have any experience with them and inline accessories? I know some filters handle them perfectly and some malfunction or leak due to added pressure from running heaters or UVs inline. I'm trying to find the one that will give me the least trouble.
I have this unit on my 75 and it works great and super quiet. I also have 2 of the larger 304b units on my 180. Works great and no issue on those either. Got all 3 from this seller

Does anyone have a small canister filter running a large UV? I have no doubt its a great filter but I would hate to buy it and then find out running a sterilizer inline causes issues.

I run an Aqua Advantage 15W on a 2215. A lot of feedback on the Twists pushed me towards the Aqua brand. This model has 3/4" tubing inlets and I had to reduce to 1/2" tubing to connect it.

Well I ordered an xp1 or technically an xps and a turbotwist 36w yesterday. Should put me around my target flow and the hose diameter was compatible as well. Hope to have my new tank up and running by next Monday. We will see how this combo works out...

Well I live in panama city about 2 miles from the gulf and due to cold weather my shipment is delayed. Hopefully it will show up by Friday, however it currently has no ETA. Here are some crazy pics from "Snowman-ia"

Sorry but that's funny.
Come up to the northern Midwest if you want to see some snowmen.

I know a few members on here, from northern Canada, that would now be laughing at your post and welcome you to experience winter in their neck of the woods ;)

Sounds like fun. Figuring we're getting your temp now might as well throw in a couple more feet of snow.

Well where I live this IS cold. Last time we had weather similar to this was 1989. People freaked out. Bridges iced over. Roads were closed. We get 100+ @99.9% humidity 8-9 months out of the year, this is a huge change.

Anyways I picked up my new tank today. Stand will be ready Saturday. Hopefully Sunday this will all be running depending on weather of coarse. Stay tuned for updates...
