canister filter irritating me!

ok first i had some weak arse flow, took that apart, got the pillow stuffing out. found some dead fish, water stunk. and now its just sitting dry for a little bit tell my cousin gets home from school so he can help me put the canister back togther ( he is small so he can crawl behind the tank ) so can pillow stuffing and dead fish cause weak arse flow? and got some pics of the filter media, will post later though. irritated right now!

Any media will clog. Clean it more often.

yea quilt stuffing. i may get some tomm though if you recomand it still. and im slowly putting the filter back on. and no i dont have a back up filter.

If you were to get a filter and put it on the outside of the intake then no fish could get in.
