canister filter irritating me!

i would use filter pad in it and scrubbies. and you should have a strainer on the tube to keep fish out of there man. thats def no bueno. if you want high flow clean everythin out including hoses and use coarse filter media.

It's been just about a month since you last posted this same scenario...
You are due for maintenance.
Pillow stuffing should be used just before your bio filtration(scrubbies, ceramics bioballs...I forgot what you were running) and only use say a 1/2" thick piece just below the bio media. Run a sponge, or the effimech or whatever you use for coarse filtration first, in the bottom of the filter, using progressively finer media until the bio section.
If you stack the media in this fashion, your media will not clog as fast, and you may be able to strech your maintenance intervals. Again, feel free to PM me if you need more help!
