Canister Filter Problem

Hi guys got a canister filter for 3ft.

when i on, it can run for like 10 mins then after that its not running. took out the top and check the impeller and notice that its hot, is it i put too much media or filter cotton inside?Any pro can advice?thanks

Impellers hot? Sounds like it's not centered right....
