The fx seemed like it had great reviews. But my petsmart only carries up to the 406. I personally like having some more filtration than needed especially since I have some messy fish. I want to do a sump but dont think im really gonna bother doing it with my 75 as im planning a 150 maybe bigger

If you're going 150 or bigger next then I would say go sump on the 75, more control to you for flow, media space is equal or greater than any canister. You can get an adjustable pump that would work for a much larger flow for the next tank, then all you have is the sump box to sell or keep using with a new pump for the same 75.
When it comes to media and supplies for an FX. Online is the way to go. I do the same for my 206. gina's aquarium supply biz online is the bomb. Best prices and they do first time order discounts and except for this month, irony I need to order, they do 5-10% off the order via your email.
Thats whats nice about the local fish store I try to use when ever I can. They will price match anything to make the sale. If you find a website with something cheaper tell them the site and they will check right on the spot

The c-360 is a good canister.. Cut to fit your own filter pads and replace the pinballs with matrix or more ceramics. You can fit a lot more bio media in those than it comes with. Also don't bother with the polishing pads on the top. Remove one sponge in bottom tray and cut to fit some white filter pads to fit.
