Canister filters for large aquariums?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's for the 370g, but am also looking for a good cannister for the 125g and getting rid of the hanging filters.

Thanks for info. I'll look into the Fluval Fx5. I won't go with Ocean clears, have used them and don't like them.

Anyone here have the Fluval Fx5? experiences?

Howdy,

/\/\onster canisters are made for /\/\onster tanks  (You'll need more than one, though)

Read HERE and HERE - and don't let Rally talk you into a w/d ;)

LOL

I luv my fx5

You definitely need two more filters. Fluval's FX5 is a great MECH filter, but not nearly as good in bio-filtration as some competitors filters. When your monsters grow big you will need both mech and bio filtration to be at their optimums. My recommendation would be one of the following eheims: 2080, 2260, 2262, and a fluval FX5. The eheims are hard pressed to be matched in the bio arena, and the FX5 is hard pressed to be matched in the mech arena.
