Ok I have always been a HOB person. After Christmas I plan to add some more filteration to my tanks because my fish are getting a lot bigger now. I Want to know what your opinions are on Canister filters. I was debating on a few brands but wanted to see what everyone else thought was the most reliable and easiest to use.

These are the three I was debating on choosing from.....also her are the tanks and equipment I was thinking of upgrading.

eheim rocks!
 
For any tank I recommend the use of eheims. If money is limited, go for the catalina aqauriums, or Renas.
 
Eheim>Rena>fluval

If eheim is out of your price range, as it was for me, a rena is a better value and and more dependable then fluval.
Filstar Rena XP4's are less of a value and aren't worth the 180 being asked. And there seems to be some impeller problems on the Xp4's that need worked out from the posting of a member here.
 
This is a tough poll.

I've always been an Eheim man, but the FX5 is a way better mech filter. IMPO, I'd have to say the best scenario is to run a 2080 for bio and an FX5 for mech.
