Hope you can find those Arapaimas a new home soon, they won't last too much longer in that 60g.

i'm actually selling them. and setting up a new 180 gal tank. maybe in a week it will be up and running and waiting to cycle properly.

eheim or fluval fx5. i wouldn't recommend fluval 404 or lower. they have fluval 405 which is an update of the 404. it's suppose to be better but i don't know.

A 404 or even a 304 is more than enough to filter a 55g. That is all I run on mine. Fx5 and the Eheim pro 3 are both rated to do tanks well over 55, more in the hundreds. a 404 can run a 75 with out to much problem. Especially for a 55 planted you don't want to current to be as strong as what those two big filters are going to put out.
