Canister or Sump for 90g??

hob is probably your best bet. try 2 aqueon 55/75's... add a sponge filter run on air power and you will have ALL the filtering you will ever need in a 90 ....:popcorn::)
 
try to find a deal that has a canister filter included with it- also try searching off-spelled titles too:
90g 90gal 90 glass 90 tank etc:

that's how I came into all of my tanks including the 80-90 I currently have- previous owner had it mis-typed and posted for nearly 2 months without reposting and got it 150$ cheaper than his original asking price-
got tank, stand, 3 month old XP3 (canister for 2 times the size) heater, glass tops, lights and background roll for $200.

I'd try that route- the canisters have always been the quietest option in my experience- but began as a pain to maintain each month- so I used more than one and maintain it less, once you see the flow being restricted- plus with more/bigger you'd get more flow.
