In The Little Town Of Bedrock!
I'm looking to buy a canister filter to use on my soon to be 40 gallon long (48"x12"x16") and I want to know what one would be the best? I'd prefer to use just one canister and maybe down the road get a second one for extra bio/polishing the water, what would be a recommended GPH? Isn't it like 4-5x the tank amount is the GPH of canister I would need?

Thanks!

WHat is the stock going to be?

Fluval 405 is a good canister filter.

Wouldn't all that be a bit overkill for a trying to recreate a slight current? lol I was thinking one or two canisters because I can put the intakes and outtakes on opposite ends so I can then have a current going within the tank.

I would prefer not to use HOB's just because they don't allow for the current in the tank. If I was gonna use HOB's I would just use my spare Emp 400 and AC10. Not trying to be a dick or anything just letting you guys know lol
