Canister vs. HOB on 90 gallon?

Don't you have to drill holes in the tank to have a sump? I really don't know anything about them unfortunately.

a canister and an HOB isn't "the best" of both worlds... it's just both worlds...

It would take the best canister and the best HOB to have the best of both worlds...
