I notice my canister filters putting solids back in my water after turning them off for maintence.
I though it was because I wasn't emptying out the solids left in the filters so today I was sure to dump it all out and rinse it out with tank water but to surprise as soon as I hooked them back up and turned them on,, BAMM, more solids be spit back into the tank.
So narrowing it down I have come to realize that my once clear hoses from the canisters are now yellow and golden brown and I can only assume that like my arteries in my heart are becoming blocked with this tank mulm.
My question, how do you clean these hoses out?
Do I just replace them or is there a tool that can clean 3 ft of hose?
