You can get an Eheim 2217 many different places, all media/hoses/etc. included, for about $150. Some places even give free shipping.
That would be more than enough filter for a 75g tank. An FX5, while nice, would be quite overkill. I'm just now setting up a 90g tank, and I'll be using a 2217, by itself.
