So I am in search of plastic egg crate to use for the top on my tank. I cannot find it anywhere in lowes or home depot. The only "light diffuser" they have are the thin plastic sheets they use in florescent fixtures. Where can I find this stuff/or whats another alternative that is as cost effective? The tank is a 180 gallon and is standard dimensions at 72"x24"x24". It is an older tank and is built with one massive center brace made out of 3/4" glass. (The tank weighs close to 400lbs.....) But, because of this the dimensions of the openings that needed to be covered are 24x28.

Ideas?

Home depot. In the area where you find the drop ceiling stuff. Or in lighting.

Is that stuff good as a divider?

My LFS uses it as a divider, seem to work quite well. Just realized I could ask them where they get theirs..... Anyway Ill try home depot because I didn't look in the ceiling area.

I always find it at Home Depot . . . it is in the Lighting section, in the same area as those plastic sheets you mentioned

did you ask anyone when you were there?

Even if they don't have them at Lowe's or H.D., they can order them for you. They're not available in all regions. They don't carry them in northern NJ by me, but they will order them.
