Cannot get Ammonia to ZERO!

That really sounds like it could be from the ammonia are you still dosing with prime each day to detoxify it? also if you have nitrites you have to dose at around 5X the normal doesing to help detoxify that according to the bottle of prime.

When an ammonia test was run 2 days ago, their was no sign of the bad ammonia... the fish place did the 2 part testing of it. I have still been using Prime & Stability, will maybe up the dosing... I've never had my catfish bothered by medication as I've had him for about 5 years, until now as he's always sitting in the aeration bubbles & trying to itch himself on the sand 'n' such... He doesn't show signs of ich, and the guy at the fish place suggested something internal as well as he's trying to get oxygen flow thru his gills by sitting in the aeration stream...
