There are many species in Amphilophus, barred midas is only 1.
They could be Amphilophus sp Amarillo, but since many of the variants and species look very similar it's very hard to tell them apart.
Below is Amarillo
Rarity is all relative`.
In my area pink/orange/red devils are common place, an adult might cost $5 at a local aquarium society auction, or just as easily be bid up to $50.
A few years ago the amarillo were everywhere, but now, not so much. Back then, I got 10 juvie amarillo for $5.
I guess it depends on who has a spawning pair, and is overwhelmed with fry in your area.
those are Ampholophous. I think Midas but for sure not the Barred Midas line ..
Are they sibs? Because one at the right side is going to turn orange in about a month or two and if the other one is sibling, it will be orange too and no more gray fish with bars.
After gray to orange, some can fade even more into white with compressed orange patches. But just droppin that in. Not saying your's will go that far. But I know they wont be gray much longer.
