One more suggestion. Once you get it sealed and cured, you may want to fill the water side first and let it set a couple days and see if it leaks before you put in all the terrestrial side so you dont have some much stuff to take out if it leaks.

Silicone does not adhere very well to plexiglass or acrylic. The seal will eventually fail.

Another piece of glass cut to fit would be ideal, but i did mine back then with plexi and it worked just fine. Its up to you what you do. If you have the extra cash (shouldnt cost too much) it may just be easier to get a piece of glass cut. I may have just gotten lucky with mine.

You have to make sure to clean the inside of that tank very well other wise all your silicone is going to stick on debri.
