What Are your thoughts on this camera? My walmart had these on sale for $79.99 so I picked one up. Going to play around with it tonight. Any one else use or have opinions about this camera?

IMO. cameras are so good, unless your planning on selling prints anything over 20$ will do fine if not over what you expect.

I would prefer to buy 10 70$ cameras, insted of one 700$ camera.

Cuz there will always be that year "the family camera" got stolen on your trip and you didn't have any photos to remember it by.

Any One else have any comments besides the lounge troll?

I could make a second comment if that would be useful?

The good: Three-inch LCD; attractive; pleasing color in photos under the right conditions.
The bad: Mediocre lens quality; too little control over camera; poor low-light shooting performance.
The bottom line: The Nikon Coolpix L22 looks good for its price, but there isn't much to like below the surface.
Looking at the 12-megapixel Nikon Coolpix L22, you can understand why someone would buy it. It's a good-looking compact camera at a low price with three things people would be attracted to: a 3-inch LCD, AA batteries for power, and the Nikon brand. Pop in its batteries and the camera has a nice weight to it, making it feel like a sturdy, well-built camera. And like most in its class, the L22 is very much a fully automatic point-and-shoot with little to adjust except for maybe picking an appropriate scene mode.
The L22 is a little too limited in the feature department, though, which can make it difficult to get usable photos. Team that with mediocre lens quality and some performance concerns and you have an entry-level camera that's really not good for much beyond taking snapshots of portraits and landscapes in full sunlight for use at small sizes or online.

Hi, I just purchased a Nikon L22 on 9/2/2010. I am more than a liitle disappointed. My cheapo Fujifilm digi camera was 3 times as good as this camera. The flash is sketchy, the pics are blurry and you cannot capture ANY text close-up whatsoever. I am returning mine tonight.

Conclusion
The Nikon Coolpix L22 is rather simplistic, and it's not the most versatile camera around, but it's very well made and easy to use. In good lighting, the 3.6x zoom and 12-megapixel sensor deliver the kind of quality you can get from cameras that cost two or three times as much.

TY sir. But yeah after fighting with it for over an hour I've found this thing to be less then desirable. Returning tomorrow

I might suggest the cyber shot line of cameras. By sony

Probably not the best idea to do it at the same walmart tho they might get mad, even tho there is no policy about it

just get the 10-20 disposable ones. you dont want to buy a 500 dssllra camera and drop it. they both take pictures and one is way cheaper and it can be dropped and you wouldnt care. not like the other expensive for nothing camera.

Yeah I meant to put nikon. My bad on that one. But I'll look into power shots. Ty
