Can't be happier with my water now

just installed RO unit... i think this is the best investment ive ever made.

Previous tap water quality
Ammonia 4ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 40ppm
TDS 140

Water quality from RO
ammonia 1ppm.. it goes down 80% from the initial amonia level.
Nitritre 0ppm
Nitrate 5ppm.. this is super wow!!!
TDS 120. It should go down in the next 24-48hours. Since all the filter set inside are still new so the TDS still read a bit high number they said. Im expecting TDS right out from the unit around 30 by tomorrow

The ro unit comes with mineral buffer and uv sterilizer also

I had an ammonia problem with my tap water. I use a product called ag-plus (available under different names). I have it in a filter that i tun my tap water through, this takes out all the ammonia. (I do not have the ag-plus in the tank, i just filter the water before it is added to the tank).

You may wanna look into that for your last 1ppm.

RO unit is great and best investment for both fres and salt water setup, my tap water used to have Nitrate above 20 ppm, now it's reading 0 ppm. I'm using RO water to top of my saltwater tank.

Which brand and model did you buy? For some reason i thought RO water wasn't that good for FW tanks because of the minerals it removes....I'm probably wrong though,

The brand is called aqualife. It cost me 300 USD.

I dont know yet, dont have the tool to test it. But ph out from ro unit is 7.2, so i think the mineral inside the cylinder is takin care of the kh and gh, otherwise the ph would be 6.0 i think

The unit is supposed to be used for drinking water. TDS of water come out from the unit is around 40
