I'm thinking of breeding either a honduran red point cichlid or a firemouth cichlid. And i was wondering if anyone knew anything about breeding the two. Like do they eat their babies or can you keep another fish in with them. And my last Question is Which one's fry would sell for more money. please respond!:)

I am pretty sure that they are both mouth brooding species, I would'nt keep anything in the tank with them either if your intentions are to breed them. The Firemouths might sell for a little more.

Ok thanks!

Negative Ghostrider....

They are not mouth brooders.

And selling them depends on the availability of both sp. in your area. Firemouths are available at petsmarts and petcos for about 2.50.

True HRPs will demand a higher price imo

close enough, :D

flip over your couch cushion and you will most likely find the difference :P

Do you think it would be fine if i just put a pleco in with them?

Depends on the pleco, alot of plec sp. like to eat eggs. If you are planning on breeding for profit, you might want to leave the pleco out.
