cant get my pleco out of a cave from petco need some tips

its a giant mushroom with multipe mushrooms on the side, the pleco is hiding in there and he dont wanna come out. any tips on how to get him out?

Try a chunk of cucumber weighed down with a stone that usually brings them out , or frozen peas

What type of pleco is it and how long have you had it? Its common for new ones to hide for awhile till they get comfortable. I've also had some that are skittish, they will be out and the minute they see you they hide. Be patient, as long as you get it to eat you are good! planetcatifsh is s good source to get some more info on behavior habits and diet.

i got them out, just recently got at l25 and l24, i took the decor out of the water and shook them out

Leave it be, it's normal and helps them to relieve stress. My philosophy on pleco is if you can't find it, it's doing great. When you find it out in the open and vulnerable, it's questionable and something might be wrong. So when i see a pleco that i know hides all the time in the open, i start to worry.
