Can't tell if this is an armatus

I'm viewing the photos on my phone but I don't see any spots on the fish.Most young armatus have small black spots on them.
 
My first impression from the photos were red tail tats. Still too small to 100% positive id though.
 
At that size you just can't be sure of anything beyond that it's not a wallacei or scomberoides.
 
As another note, baby armatus do have alot of black and brown dots on the head areas.
 
To get a 100% ID, wait till it's 4 inches or so when i'll get a orange adipose fin or not.
 
As others have mentioned I would wait till about 4 inches before you can begin ID-ing this little guy. And you definitely should get him! :)
