Cant wait

Anybody been fishin yet?? In the past couple of days, its gotten near 60 for a couple of days, so i couldnt wait any longer. went to a couple of creeks, the ice was mostly melted but the water was pretty swift, still couldnt resist wetting a worm. To no avail, im guessing the little fishies havent moved back into these shallow creeks yet, What do you think ??

I haven't been fishing, but I did get down into some flooded fields to catch some critters. A few sweeps with a little dipnet yielded tons of cladocerans, copepods, scuds, isopods, flatworms, diving beetles, and water boatmen. My scud and microcrustacean colonies got wiped out over the winter, so I was happy to get the new stock.

I heard lots of spring peepers and chorus frogs calling too. I hope they don't decide to lay eggs and then get wacked by the next hard freeze.

i thought about doing the same thing around here, but the fact that half the river was frozen deterred me from going fishing

ha ha ive been fishing my river all winter. but yeah iam going tomorrow for steelhead
