Capping Tail - Is considered cruel?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wouldnt cap there tails.... get a rubbermaid storage container and put the turtles in there....

After some more research the flower ray is actually a motoro flower ray. Although nice, isn't as nice as the true flower ray. The prices are correct though.

As for keeping the rays in the same tank, gonna pass. Setting up a separate tank, drowning a turtle isn't worth it.

As for the previous poster, why would I keep a $1,000 (5 grand in total) ultra rare turtles in a rubbermaid container?

most likly it is the motoro varient (peruvian flower)
There is no way that a so called "Peru Flower" is a Motoro variant. I have both in my tank and the physical differences are huge. They are not even close in my opinion. I don't care what anyone says. They are much closer to Hystrix in shape and physical appearance in my non-expert opinion. :screwy:

Also those prices are super cheap and not at all the "normal" going rate for any of those rays in Canada wholesale or not.:WHOA: If you can get them for that, that is a smoking deal.

Cheetah , as a fellow Canadian , where oh where did you get your matamatas from if you got them yet ? I'm a huge turtle enthusiast and have found these are very hard to come by up here. Any info would be much appreciated . PM or email please when you have the time..

I agree with Nic and its nice to see him post from time to time. or better yet just wait till you have the new tank up and running so they are not going from tank to tank to tank. this way you also dont have to worry about the turtles claws scratching the rays backs and risk a bacterial infection.

If you got $5,000 worth of Turtle stock why dont you open your wallet and spend a little bank on proper housing for them too ?
