not a bad strategy.. my problem is the movie often"ruins" the book for me .. I have a hard time reading something when I already know what the payoff is...

so has anyone seen this movie. I saw it with the wife tonight
it was really good. a must see
I looked up on the real life story and read that some of the crew calls the capt arrogant and ignored warnings of piracy in those waters. they were urged to sail at least 600 miles off the Somali coast but the ship was boarded a less than 400 miles out. some members sued the company for putting them in danger. they are angry that the movie portrayed captain Phillips as a hero when they blame him for ignoring warnings.

I was impressed by seal team 6 that sniped 3 of the pirates dead in a life vessel where they held the capt hostage

Yeah I finally got around to seeing the movie and I enjoyed it.I had heard about the real life backstory that had been going on as well.
Saw the movie today, had some annoying people sitting next to me who kept talking but I enjoyed the movie, great performance by Tom hanks as always and I was also surprised how well those Somalia fisherman did too, for people who had never done any acting before in their lives they were great.
9 out of 10, because the movie was a little too long for my liking.

Lol, i watched it a few weeks ago. Muse is a boss. Sounds like the story got the hollywood treatment though as theres a bunch of discrepancies between the real life story and the movie.
