Depends on the terms he agreed to in the contract.I'm no Hollywood insider but I don't see the movie company making such an offer to some easily replaceable first timer nobody.

He got 65k and had to pay his own expenses during filming. Hes literally broke right now

I think he had pretty good leverage, where else they gonna find an ugly ass somalian american that can act? His co pirates werent ugly enough. Dude even had to adlib a bunch of the dialogue

Lol leverage..that's what got his pay to just above the union minimum? Tthey could have found a few here...half of the cabbies here are Somalians and any one of them could have pulled it off.
