I bought a set of new subs to replace my current setup-
But what I am unasure of is-

Do I have to worry about my capacitor when I unhook from current box.Does thing have to be charge back up-If so-how do I go about that exactly...

If it's just disconnecting and then reconnecting the power supply right away, you won't need to recharge the cap. If its going to be a matter of days, you may lose enough charge to warrant charging it/them up.

Personally, when I shut down my car in the winter and take the stereo out, I get a pro to reconnect everything in the springtime, including recharging the caps. Those devices scare me, lol.

Scares me as well-Hence why I am asking here...Figure someone would know-
Do I have to worry about touching the darn thing when I disconnect it...It is mounted to my box-I have to take it off and mount it on my other box....I would guess when I'm ready to due this it would be off for about 10 to 20 min at best....

I got to figure a diffrent wiring setup for the new subs compared to the old as well----the new only requires on input into the box where the old has two-----So thats the next step...

Sorry and appreciate the time to link me-

But I'm talking from my amp to my subs-
I have already had my subs wired. But I'll make a thread soon with pics to better describe what i need exactly...

I used to custom installs. I'll help out if you post a few pics of what you are talking about.

Don't worry about the cap. There is no need to have it recharged. All you have to do is make sure to drain it when you unhook it, so you do not shock yourself. Draining it just involves grounding it out once it has been unhook from both the amp and the power source. A capacitor will hold power similar to a battery, but it will slowly lose its charge as it sits without power.
