I would do a power cell if I were you, and ditch the cap, but no you shouldn't have to worry.

more than happy to help if you explain what your trying to do better :)

Just wondering about how to go about taking a cap that charged off a box and placing back onto another box.I know nothing about this chargeing and dechargeing stuff.

I used to custom installs. I'll help out if you post a few pics of what you are talking about.

Don't worry about the cap. There is no need to have it recharged. All you have to do is make sure to drain it when you unhook it, so you do not shock yourself. Draining it just involves grounding it out once it has been unhook from both the amp and the power source. A capacitor will hold power similar to a battery, but it will slowly lose its charge as it sits without power.

Ok so I understand how to decharge it-
What about when I hook it back up to amp and power supply-What do I need to due then-
Or will it charge itself properly......

Make sure you use a high power resistor when draining it. If you just short it out it might explode:) With a resistor it's no big deal.

I'm very familiar with car audio and electronic principals as well so I'm sure we can answer your questions.

My next problem after I figure out how to recharge the cap if I will even need to due so-

Would be my amp has a total of four sets terminals to hook speakers to.I take it that is to run a set of 4 speakers.....My new subs are wired paralell in the box-meaning it has two subs but only one terminal for power going into side of box...I need to know how to wire an amp like shown in the pics to power something like I just described

Thanks

Simply put-

Can I just unhook the darn thing and rehook it up if I am careful to not touch positive and negitive terminals.

Or do I have to due resistor route.

Sweet audiobahn. I have one of the same series as that one. They're tough. IIRC they're 2 ohm stable mono but it depends on the model.

First I need to know the model of the subs and the amp. How you wire them depends on the capabilities of the amp, and the impedence of the subs (And if they're dual voice coil)

If you're just switching things out you can unhook it and hook it back up. Just be very careful.

Caps are crap. You should invest in a solid Kinetik Hc series battery. To answer your question you should be fine if you unhook and hook it back up at a later time.
