Car guys help please!

I like the punji pit idea! I worked at an auto parts store in the ghetto for about a year, and sold a ton of locking gas caps. The ones we sold could be used locked or unlocked. Well worth the $15-20. Look on the bright side, it's only gas that they are stealing. We had the catalytic converters stolen off of our delivery trucks twice.

Catalytic converters are ripped off pretty often here also, Fn tweakers!!

I've had a locking gas cap for years. I used to have the same problem, but have since moved. I don't keep the cap locked anymore and it still works fine for me. Do you have a motion sensor light on your driveway, that alone might be enough to get them to leave the car alone.

Locking caps can be broken into too. If someone is really determined to get what's yours, you can't stop it. All you can do is make it more difficult for them to get it. Something as simple as a sticker on the gas door that says "I HAVE A GUN POINTING AT YOUR HEAD RUN!!" OR "I SEE YOU AND KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE!"

Good advice. Night vision cams would tap into the fish budget bro. lol I think I'm going to get the locking gas cap and keep my eyes open. I guess a punji pit would be considered premeditated, huh?

just think of the awesome vids you can take of the fish at night after these hoodlums are gone

I laughed a little at the catalytic converter thievery although it really is nothing to make light of.I just can't believe someone would be bold enough to steal something like that and oddly enough,I need a new one for my car..Some cars have a key lock on the actual gas door but I don't see many of them these days.

Can you see your car from inside the house? I've was told about this by a vet with a sense of humor. Get an armed services flag (he was USMC) and get a laser pointer cat toy. Grab a coffee and hang out in the darkened house at night. When you see the punk roll up wait till he just starts sucking on the hose and shine the pointer at him. Apparently the old guy laughed for days about the idiot running away gagging on gas. Got a free gas can out of it too. If your handy you can rig a fire cracker to a model rocket igniter or a few snap bangs and a mouse trap. Wet pants and bruised dignity usually fixes the wanna be thugs in a hurry.

Thank you for serving and sorry you have to deal with these idiots.
