what used car would you get for around $10k?

requirements:

- sporty
- prefer rwd, and will consider awd
- prefer to have the ability to sit more than 2 people
- prefer japanese over european. definitely no american cars, sorry
- should have some luxury elements, and definitely don't want a teenagers car like a civic... nothing 'ricey'

any ideas?

Hmmm... nothing i can really think about in your price range, I would say audi s4, but is not in that range unless from manheim, but if you could think of something let me know i could most definitely get you a good price for a car!!!!

:banhim:American cars are much more readily available in this price range and the options are very open. Plus most look better than any of the other sport cars from Asian countries IMHO. But w/e just throwing it out there. If they aren't your cup of tea its cool.

what year car and do you prefer manual or auto trans?

u can get a sti or a wrx.. audi, mazda,nissan,.... look on craigslist... u can get good prices on cars there.. but id go with the sti.. it has a nice lobe to the pipe... umm or a mazda speed6.. idk how old are you? it depends on your personality do u like cars in generale. fast, slow, do u want it to have ballz.

10k for an STI?

for that price range and what your looking for...i really cant think of anything. only thing comes to mind is the s2k but you might have to add a few more grands. i know you wanted more than 2 seats.

what about an integra type R if you can find one. leave it stock or fix it up. ricey or not...it all depends how u fix it up if your into jdm scene. but leaving it stock is just as nice. maybe lower it a bit and rims. clean and simple. and pretty fast and v-tech roars. fun to drive. fwd tho. also its theieve magnet.

lol
it's not that i hate american cars or whatever, but if you look at the state of the american car business, what is there to really choose from aside from the mustang, camaro or something like that? essentially those are the only two cars that imho fall into what i am looking for, and i'm not really a fan of either...
having said that, i do love cars like the viper, vette but no $$$$$$$$$$ :D
