I saw this pic of the fish car outside London aquarium and since I live in area where there are a lot of old cars just sitting around waiting for people to get into trouble from code enforcement.....I was wondering about the possibility of doing this. You can't get in trouble for it if it's art.....

Would it be in any shape economical? Does any one have any thoughts as to what it would take and what specifically would have to be sealed off to keep the fish safe?

it can be done, but i doubt it'll be in any way economical

I just fell in love  . Once I recover I'm going to go out and have a look at the cars in yard

A lot of aquarium silicone ,pond liner , duck tape , and a MOON ROOF so as to feed and fill the aquarium...??? then all the oddvious will fallow  : :screwy: :hitting: :hypnotize :FIREdevil

I saw a Hummer that had a tank in the back on MTV cribs awhile ago. Looked like a 75gal. Its not a practical Idea IMO but hey whatever floats ya boat.

Howdy,

I don't get the point. Who can look at their fish while driving? I guess it's better for kids than the onboard DVD player .......

Okay: You cannot really use that car for driving. The fish will be rocked left and right, which is okay for a short period of time but certainly sucks on a daily basis. Maybe reef fish?! And you run into temperature problems in the Winter & Summer. That's the biggie.

Second way to do it is to gut your car and install the tank in a permanently parked vehicle. I don't know how cozy your garage is, but I like my tank in my living room better...

All in all - as you Brits say - not my cup of tea.

Well, it looks like I've got a white pinto donated to the evil science project :headbang2 We'll see how much time I have this week I think it will be a lack of update though since it's a lot of gutting....

An AMC pacer would make a good car aquarium if those huge windows didn't break from the water weight.
