I am reading more and more and hearing from some knowledgeable people locally that carbon is falling out of favor as far as actually being harmful. One long-time LFS owner and now distributor is purely Kent Organic Adsorption and not carbon. What are the thoughts by the experts here.....I have a 375 with SA cichlids.

Much appreciated.

Ditch it. It's not needed unless you are removing meds or stains.
I never have used it on any of my tanks and they are all in great shape.

I do not use carbon:)

I took all of the carbon outta my tanks a cpl of months ago. No problems. ikeep a small amount on hand (leftovers) just incase i need to take out meds or something.

you can replace the area where the carbon was with more bio media.
