will changing my carbons in my 2 filters every month or so make my water more clear

from my experience, no.
Unless you have some problems with your water like tanins or meds. I dont use carbon in any of my filters.

with Rallysman...some plants and lots of water changes for nitrates and I only use carbon if I have to remove meds from the water, which isn't often.

carbon should be changed every month b/c it don't last long and gets gummed up very fast....

i havent use carbon for years.... even when i have medication... i let the 24/7 water drip... dilute away....
