I feed all my pleco's Repashy with occasional zucchini. I generally use 4 types of repashy (morning wood, bottom scratcher, solient green, and meat pie).

I keep them with discus and feed the discus freeze dried blackworrms from Al's. Interestingly enough, my L27 now comes up for the worms and won't really eat zucchini anymore even though he's supposed to be mostly a wood/vegetable eater.

I think they generally learn to eat whatever you give them whether it's pellets, fresh veggies or gel food. Usually it takes a couple of days after acclimation for them to feed and some of my pleco's are very shy. I've never seen them eat but they've been there for a few months to a year.

Good info to know thank you... btw welcome to MFK.

Thank You, Also I urge you to check your water parameters. I was losing plecos for the longest time and didn't know why. I found that my water is 7.0 - 7.2 ph out of the tap but had zero hardness. I ended up having ph crashes after every water change. Now I buffer my water with some crushed coral in the filters to maintain the ph around 6.6-6.8.

Gold nuggets are notorious for dying after purchase but I've had mine for at least 8 months. They grow extremely slowly.
