wish I'd know it had been a rental car BEFORE we bought it, now it's got 80k miles and is problem after problem....

My Subaru used to be a company car. Company cars are usually maintained.

Rentals are another story........

I just recently bought a car and got the unlimited CARFAX to check the VIN. I don't need it anymore so I thought I'd be generous and offer to run VIN history for people looking to buy a car.

Yikes! That's what I drive! It's really rare if it's a 5-speed. Fewer than 1,000 of the current body style turbo Legacy wagons were made w/ a 5-speed.

No problem, Jed. I love talking car stuff as much as I like talking about fish or mountain biking. I'll be looking for a VW Karmann-Ghia convertible next month, but that's probably too old for CARFAX. Also, thinking about getting a 2005 to 2007 MB E320 CDI or Bluetec used.
